Obverse features a rather bold faced Liberty with stars, ribbon with "E Pluribus Unum" and the date of 1837. The reverse has the words "S. Maycock & Co., 35 City Hall Place N-Y, Ever Pointed Pencil Case Manufacturers Saml. Maycock, John Hague".
