Feuchtwanger Cent, obverse features eagle and snake with the date 1837. The reverse has the words "One Cent" within a wreath and "Feuchtwanger's Composition".

Feuchtwanger's proposed composition for the U.S. cent rejected by the mint in 1838. There are at least 13 different die combinations for this hard times token.
